Aim and Scope
The African Journal of Finance and Management (AJFM) is a distinguished bi-annual publication hosted by the Institute of Finance Management (IFM). This multidisciplinary journal offers a platform for research articles surrounding the application of financial principles and management practices in the African context, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities present in the region. Key areas of focus include:
Accounting: Highlights the importance of financial reporting, managerial accounting, and strategic decision-making processes that drive organizational success.
Auditing and Assurance Services: Analyzes the critical role of auditing in ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Corporate Governance: Examines best practices and frameworks that guide and control organizations, underscoring their financial ramifications.
Taxation: Focuses on the impacts of tax policy on organizational financial management and strategic planning.
Emerging Themes in Finance and Management: Encourages contributions that examine the challenges in accounting, auditing and assurance services, human resource management, corporate governance, management sciences, taxation, and legal issues.
Investment Management: Focuses on professional asset management of various securities, including shareholdings, bonds, and other assets such as real estate, to meet specified investment goals for the benefit of investors.
